I know this will be incredibly shocking, but I am not a planner. I don’t have an editorial calendar for this here blog and I usually don’t know what I am going to wear before I wear it. Sure, I game plan. But I usually change my mind at least three times on a normal day and twice if it’s a sparkly day. And given that BlogHer is the sparkliest of all sparkle days, I went ahead and pre-planned what I was going to wear.
Obviously the goal is to look FATshionably fabulous without dropping a ton of dough. Because we all know I don’t have it. What’s even worse is when you find something you love, buy it and then three days later it goes on sale. Let’s say it together: that is THE WORST.
But the folks at Eyeona have a free app that tracks your purchases automatically for sale prices. Never again will you lose out for picking-up a must-have. Whether that must-have is at Target, Bath and Body Works, or Barnes and Noble. And with Eyeona’s new Receipt-O-Matic, shop online and they’ll track your purchase through email. If the price drops AFTER your purchase, you’ll be notified and given a way to contact that store.
Here’s what I plan to wear during the day:
Don’t you just love how I matched my nails with my shoes and — hold it — something else down there. The denim coat I already own and I have 3 billion black camis, but everything else is new. The skirt from Target is $18 and the shoes were from JC Penney’s. They were a steal at$37 and are crazy comfortable. Give me a wedge over a stiletto any day. And that green is my favorite actual color. This says practical, comfortable, and fun. Well, the shoes do.
Next up we’re going night. I already own the black sequin bag, so I paired it with a flirty butterfly sleeve dress with a cute flower print. And those wedges are actually jellies! Shh, they are incredibly awesome in person. And what dress isn’t complete without Spanx? Yep, I crossed over to the Dark Side and decided every girl, sometimes, needs a suck and a tuck. The dress is from Target and was under $30, the shoes are from JC Penney and the Spanx are from Torrid. I figured I would make this night special and wear an actual color that whattaya know matches my nails. Eyeona will be tracking my Spanx and dress purchase.
Next up we have another day look that I am really excited about. Mainly because it has not one, not two, but a rainbow’s worth of color. I’ve paired it with the denim coat and red wedges that I already own. They look very similar to the pair found in the picture. The red wedges are from Torrid and are under $40 $28. The dress is from Target.
And, if I get my way, this stellar leopard dress will be mine tomorrow. It’s on clearance for $51, but all sales are final. No returns or exchanges. I need to find a store near me before I make a high-risk purchase. If it’s further discounted, Eyeona’s got that covered. I’ll pair this dress with the black jelly wedges, bringing my shoe quota for 3 days to 4 (everything pictured + flip flops ).
I’m keeping it light on accessories because I don’t need the pressure. I’ll wear my 22″ chain with my diamond ring at the end. It’s a family heirloom given to me by my mother who got it from her own grandmother. It was her first wedding band circa 1920′s. The ring has always been a reminder of the incredibly strong and resilient women that make up my DNA. And Blogher is the perfect place to wear it.

This post is 100% sponsored. Opinions on my awesomeness are completely my own. Eyeona built the app and offered to be a wardrobe sponsor for BlogHer if I tried out saving money. Since saving money is always cool, I obliged and stayed fabulous on a budget.

I’m stealing every one of these ideas because I don’t care and I have no style sense of my own.
I would have shown up in my howling wolf sweat shirts if you didn’t save my arse today.
